The Yankee Patriot and Yankee Clipper headed out on Saturday for an all day of fishing. With beautiful conditions and still a somewhat stong current they were able to steady pick througout the day.
The catch consisted mostly of cod and haddock with a mix of pollock. Bait and jigs are working.
Big fish winners for Saturday were a 12 lb. pollock caught by David Schwartz and a 15 lb. pollock caught by Jason Rosco!

Capt. Kirk reported a good day of cod, haddock and pollock. Still a stong tide running which gave way to anchoring conditions all day. Anglers reported a great day!
Big fish winner was a 15 lb. pollock caught by Mike from New York!

Capt. Josh reported overall fair fishing. Better bite in the morning. Strong tide running in the afternoon which made the catch a bit more challenging.

Well folks the Dogfish came back in full force today! Sorry to say the fishing was really off; between a ripping tide and our spiny dogfish friends it made fishing conditions brutal today.
On a better note our morning half day did find a slow pick of haddock and fewer dogs where they fished. Everyone please note we have added an afternoon 1-5:30 half day Monday Aug. 1! Come get hooked on the Yankee Fleet!

The Half-Day Fishing hit the Haddock today!! It seemed like the dogfish have finally left those half-day anglers alone! The happy anglers also had a mix of Cod and red-fish to go along with there Haddock.
The limited trip on the Clipper were put on the Cod today by Capt. Josh. Clams was the dinner of choice for the market size Cod and worked successfully on anchor and drift. ” A very successful day!!”

The Yankee Clipper and Yankee Patriot headed out Saturday to the same areas. Conditions allowed them to both drift and anchor. Steady pick was the report with mostly cod and haddock. Some pollock mixed in. Big fish for Saturday was a 15 lb. pollock caught by Roman from Chicopee.
Sunday again both boats headed in the same direction. Seeing a lot more dog fish in the area than on Saturday the Captains decided to keep steaming further. They were able to get away from the dog fish for the most part. The Patriot and Capt. Ray headed off to a different direction ending their day with a great catch of cod, haddock and pollock. The Clipper reported a steady pick as well. Big fish for Sunday were a 12 lb. cod caught by Anisio from Sommerville and an 18 lb. pollock caught by Rick from Stoneham.

Today’s fishing on the Patriot was awesome!! Morning started off slow but then picked up heavily in the afternoon. 15 anglers caught 101 fish!!! Haddock was abundant today!!
Quote from Eric Anderson “Great day on board the Patriot today. Captain Kirk put us right on the Haddock with a few Cod mixed in. I highly reccomend this trip looking to put fresh fish on the table.”
Thanks Eric for the testimonial, we look forward to fishing with you again soon!!

Fishing on the Yankee Patriot was great today!!
Catch consisted of mostly Cod with a mix of Haddock, Pollock, Redfish, and Cusk. VERY FEW DOGS today made the fishing easy and enjoyable! Jigging worked best catching lots of Cod in the morning on drift. After the current picked up it was anchors away! The pool winner was a 24lb Pollock — now thats some good fishin’!!
