Yep, they’re here! 8-20-pound pollock have made up on their fall/early winter haunts, and the action’s hot. Go get ‘em! Be sure to rig up a jig/teaser rig with at least 80-pound monofilament to avoid getting busted off by a pair of slammers pulling against one another. The Yankee Clipper will be running Thursday-Sunday throughout November, weather permitting.

Capt. Josh reports a solid day of pollock fishing for the light load of anglers aboard the Yankee Clipper yesterday. They began with wide-open jig action on the first anchor stop of the day, which lasted about two hours. Medium and large pollock to eighteen pounds came aboard in singles and doubles until anglers had had enough and Josh elected to look for some haddock. He found only limited success, putting some haddock in the boat but not enough of them. Overall, a good day, with excellent pollock fishing in the morning. They’re here!
