These trips on the Yankee Freedom only take a maximum of 45 anglers, this leaves plenty of elbow room on this 100 foot vessel. We fish 8 across the stern and only 19 each side, very comfortable. We have a full cash galley on board for breakfast, lunch, and diner. The Freedom also has 40 comfortable semi-private bunks available on board.

1-DAY WEEKEND OFFSHORE SEAFARIS - $195-$215 per person

In 2012 we ran these trips to overall shorten travel time and lengthen fishing time. The fishing reports were fair, just not the banner trips we wanted to see. Later into the season we had several 2 Day trips run to areas of Fippennies and Cashes Ledge with phenomenal reports. We decided to extend the distance we ran on these 1-Day trips in hopes to have the same success as we did on the 2-Day trips. We had several good trips; despite trip cancellations for weather and lack of people we didn’t run as many as we had hoped. This year, 2013 we have added trips to better accommodate our customer’s and their requests. 1-Day Offshore Seafaris, will target areas like Fippennies. We have had incredible success in these areas, including our 2, 50+lb. halibut and cod and haddock. It's well worth the extra distance. These trips will run throughout the summer and fall departing on Saturdays and returning on Sundays in the spring and fall and during the summer we will depart on Sundays and return on Mondays. NEW!! 2-Day Cashes/Fippennies Overnight Trip

Cashes Ledge is a submarine mountain range that is about 80 miles east of Gloucester, Ma. which locates it in the middle of the Gulf of Maine. This unique biological, geological, and oceanographic characteristics, makes it a very opportunistic fishing area. Cashes has also been closed to commercial fishing year round for some time now. Fippennies is also in the middle of the Gulf Of Maine (approx. 60 miles east of Gloucester) and is a large plateau rising up out of the depths. Fippennies is notably productive for cod, haddock, and the occasional halibut. In 2012 we had some exceptional 2-Day trips that went as far as Cashes and also fished Fippenies. We saw a nice sign of halibut returning to some of the areas we went. Cod and haddock were also plentiful on these trips. We ran mostly spring trips, unfortunately by fall the weather deteriorated so much that getting out to these areas for 2 consecutive days was just not in the cards for 2012. 2013 brings about somewhat of the same schedule in the spring. Trips will depart during April, May and June at 8pm Tuesday and will return at about 6pm on Thursday. Starting in September we have 2 trips running Tuesday to Thursday and in October we will be running the first two weekends. Departing on Friday at 8pm and returning Sunday at 6pm. Cancellations:

Positions become non-refundable 7 days prior to date of trip. In the event of severe inclement weather, Yankee Fleet will review NOAA and buoy forecasts. In the event that the captain decides to cancel for weather reasons, a decision will be made no later than 4:00 PM on the day of the trip, regarding cancellation or delayed departure. We will make every effort to contact you, with as much notice as possible, regarding trip cancellation. If you are in transit on your day of departure and not available by cell phone, please check in with our reservation staff at the toll free number above. If possible, Yankee Fleet will re-schedule you on another trip. If that is not possible a full refund will be made.
